How To Use The Wheel Boost WB-18-30-SS
Wheel Boost makes changing your own tires surprisingly simple. Follow these steps, and you'll be back on the road in no time.
- Prep Your Vehicle Loosen the lug nuts and safely jack up your car, leaving a small (~½”) gap under the tire.
- Position Wheel Boost Slide the Wheel Boost under the tire and snug it up with a few turns using a power drill.
- Remove the wheelboost Remove the lug nuts and gently pull the wheel free.
- Lower and Release Reverse the direction of the power tool, lower the tire to the ground and remove the Wheel Boost.
- Mount New Tire Position the Wheel Boost under the new tire and effortlessly raise it to the right height.
- Align and Install Adjust the height and rotate the wheel for perfect alignment and slide the wheel onto the studs.
- Secure and Finish Install the lug nuts and tighten them to snug tight. Remove the Wheel Boost, lower the vehicle, and fully tighten the lug nuts to the correct torque.

Using a tape measure, measure the outside diameter of your tire. If the diameter is between 18” – 30” (46 – 76 cm) the WB-18-30-SS will do the job. If the diameter is between 22” – 38” (56 – 97 cm) the WB-22-38-SS will work. If, for example, you have a car with tires having an outside diameter of 24” (61 cm) and a pickup truck or SUV with tires having an outside diameter of 36” (91 cm), the WB-22-38-SS will work for both vehicles.
It depends on the size of the tire. The larger the tire, the more it will lift. The range is 1” – 2” (25 – 50 mm) We recommend that you jack up the vehicle so that there is approximately ½” (12 - 15mm) clearance between the bottom of the tire and the floor. This is enough to easily remove and install the tire and will ensure that you have plenty of lift to line up with the lugs.
